French Onion Soup with Au Jus Recipe
French Onion Soup is the bistro classic that warms you all the way through — slow-caramelized onions in a deep, savory broth topped with crusty bread and a blanket of melted Gruyere that stretches with every spoonful. This is the soup that turns an ordinary Tuesday into something special.

Ingredients
2 thinly sliced onions
4 tbsp butter
1 tsp sugar
3 cup beef broth
1/4 cup red wine
1 pkg Pioneer® Au Jus Gravy Mix
1/2 tsp dried thyme leaves
To taste croutons
To taste shredded Parmesan cheese
This French Onion Soup with Au Jus recipe uses Pioneer Au Jus Gravy Mix to build the rich, deeply beefy french onion soup gravy base that makes this classic taste like it simmered for hours in a French kitchen.
