Brown Sugar Glazed Pork Ribs Recipe
Brown Sugar Glazed Pork Ribs are the kind of backyard cookout showpiece that brings everyone hovering around the grill. Sweet, sticky, and falling-off-the-bone tender — the kind of ribs where the glaze crisps just at the edges and makes that satisfying caramelized bark everyone fights over.

Ingredients
1/2 cup sherry, dry
1/2 cup orange juice, pulp free
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 pkg Pioneer® Brown Gravy Mix
2 tbsp blended oil, divided
2-3 lb pork ribs
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 onion, medium diced
2 tbsp ginger, minced
2 tsp garlic, minced
This Brown Sugar Glazed Pork Ribs recipe uses Pioneer Brown Gravy Mix to build the savory depth in the glaze that balances the sweetness and makes this brown sugar rub for pork ribs the most irresistible version you have ever smoked or baked.
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven
Preheat oven to 325°F.
- Whisk the Glaze Sauce
Whisk together the sherry, orange juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and Pioneer Brown Gravy Mix. Pour this mixture into a shallow roasting pan.
- Char and Add Onions
In a large saute pan, char the diced onion in 1 tbsp. of oil. Add the onions to the roasting pan.
- Sear and Pan the Ribs
Season both sides of the pork ribs with salt and pepper. Using the same pan, sear both sides of the pork ribs with the left over oil until crisp and golden brown. Place the ribs in the roasting pan and cover the pan with foil.
- Braise and Glaze Ribs
Bake in oven 2 hours, or until pork is fork tender. Remove the foil, spoon the sauce on top of the ribs and continue to bake for an additional 10 minutes to create a glaze.
- Garnish and Serve
