Orange and Chili Marinated Pork Roast Recipe
Orange and Chili Pork Roast is the recipe that proves how much work citrus and spice can do together — a pork shoulder that marinates in bright orange juice with a bold chili seasoning until it is fall-apart tender, with a flavor that is both familiar and surprising at once. This is the low-effort roast that earns the most compliments at the table.

Ingredients
16 oz orange juice
1 pkg Pioneer® Chili Seasoning Mix
2 lb pork roast, or pork shoulder
1 cup water
This Orange and Chili Marinated Pork Roast uses Pioneer Chili Seasoning Mix as the spice base for a bold, citrusy marinade that penetrates deep into the pork and delivers rich, layered flavor in every tender slice.
Instructions
- Mix the Marinade
Mix orange juice and chili seasoning in a leak proof bag or bowl.
- Marinate the Pork
Add pork and let marinate for three hours, making sure pork is submerged.
- Preheat the Oven
Preheat oven for 325°F.
- Prepare for Roasting
Once pork is done marinating, remove from liquid and place in a roasting pan with rack to keep it from sitting on the bottom of the pan. Discard liquid.

- Roast Until Tender
Roast for three hours or until fork tender.
- Carve and Serve
Carve or shred with two forks and enjoy!
